Meet Your Host
Hi, I’m Lindsay,
it’s nice to meet you!
Now that the introductions are out of the way, here’s a little back story about myself and how my little home came to be one of my greatest adventures….
My first trip to fish in Rockport took place in 2019, with a man I was dating at the time, who I now call my husband. I absolutely fell in love with bay fishing, the community, the water, everything. In late 2021, I began kicking around the idea of having a home here that my family could enjoy. To make it make sense, allowing others to rent it was a no brainer. Fast forward to Spring of 2022 when I discovered the new Ocean Reef Cottages development and I went under contract to build this yellow house I love so much.
Originally named “Redfish Retreat”, due to a slight obsession I have with those tail spots, I have had the joy of hosting dozens of groups since I got the keys in late 2022. I am beyond thankful to have a home that is now the house that my dearest friends, my Babes on the Bay teammates have stayed in while winning back to back titles in 2023 and 2024. You can bet we will be back for the third in 2025.
We get to Rockport as much as time allows but my husband and I live full time in a small town just West of Fort Worth. I run marketing campaigns for local mom and pop businesses from Idaho to San Antonio and my husband, Brian, is a pipeline welder. We hunt the winter months, primarily whitetail and bull elk, and love anything and everything about being outdoors. We have two grown children who have blessed us with two adorable granddaughters. Our other four kids include 3 weenie dogs, and one big mutt.
I truly hope you love every minute of your stay in my home and in the community that I love so much. Please let me know if I can help you with any recommendations or special accomodations. Tight lines!
